I am a voice and piano teacher who has spent 15+ years empowering students to discover their most authentic sound. A North Carolina native, I returned home after performing in New York City and all over the country for 10 years. My career both as a professional singer and teacher allows me to bring a dynamic toolkit of vocal and performance skills into our lessons. I offer private instruction via my home studio in Charlotte, NC. Students from the Laura Black Music Studio have gone on to pursue music and theatre degrees, musical theatre and acting at the academic, community and professional levels. Whether you're a beginner finding your voice or a seasoned singer ready to take your skills to the next level, this is a space where you can grow, explore and thrive.
