Teaching Philosophy

I believe that your voice is a powerful and personal instrument.  My studio is built on encouragement, curiosity and a deep love for the human voice.  I believe everyone has a voice worth discovering and I am passionate about helping you find the freedom and confidence to use it.

Vocal technique is always at the core of my teaching.  My priority is helping you build a healthy, and sustainable voice.  From breath support and resonance to vocal anatomy, I use tools to help you discover and develop a voice that feels as good as it sounds. There is no one size fits all approach to singing.  Here, every lesson in tailored to you- your goals, style and your unique sound.  I will meet you where you are and help you grow, explore and thrive.

I use play- based learning strategies to help kids, teens and adults master vocal technique, music theory, and musicianship in a way that is fun and engaging.  I believe musical growth happens fastest when curiosity leads the way.  Students are free to experiment, laugh and explore while we build a solid technique, ear training and musical confidence.

Lessons cover topics beyond technique including music theory, ear training, musicianship, audition prep, performance prep,  acting through song, college audition prep and much more.
